It happened to me exactly 20 days ago. I turned 48. Trust me, I can’t believe it either. Here are some facts about it. Should you ever turn 48? I’ll let you be the judge.

Everything changes around you, and then you realise it’s you who’s changed. 

It’s not that people are annoying, it’s just that your standards have become unmeetable.
It’s not that life is exhausting, it’s just that you don’t tolerate being tired anymore.
It’s not that the city is too hectic, it’s just that you can identify in one second what’s draining your nervous system and enact an immediate retreat back to the island of peace you created for yourself: your home.
