The first time I met Graham in real life was after a mountain of texts and phone calls had been exchanged over the period of a month, during which we fell deeply in love. Falling in love over a text is probably the most foolish, irresponsible thing to do—what if you meet and there is no physical chemistry?

But also, is there anything more delicious than falling in love with a complete stranger over a text? The excitement!!! The drama!!! The Googling!

I won’t tell you exactly what we did on our first date because it’s also completely foolish and irresponsible I’m still trying to maintain a shred (very thin) of privacy about my life but let’s just say that the first thing we did was not to have dinner.

This is how I discovered he was wearing glasses later, when we got hungry and he needed to read the menu. He had been hiding them until then.

I didn’t mind him wearing glasses, I promise. I like men with glasses. And women with glasses too. It’s just these glasses!!! HELL NAW as my stepdaught…
