When I think about it, I was single for about a year. It was... Weird.
And I barely wrote about it.


So weird it was, I don’t even know where to start. First, know that I came out of my last relationship completely drained, lost, overweight. And slightly broke too. But I wasn’t unhappy: I was very relieved - because, as it often happens when women leave, the mourning of the relationship had taken place before the moment of the break up.


The day I broke our engagement, there were almost no tears left to cry. 
What I was left with was my scattered self, and my little dog. 


And a house too big, with too much history. 
A house that carried the defunct project of a family. 


But, oh! How I love destiny. 
The day he left, the workers arrived. 
The renovations in my house had finally started. 
The sound of walls crumbling, the clatter of hammers, the screeching of the drills. 

Chaos around me. It was my house, but I felt like it was my body that was being attacked.
