In the spirit of change, I’ve decided to try a new format that will (if you like it) replace one of my Letters every month: It’s more conversational, like a catch-up between friends. I’ll share a bit more of my daily life, some advice, some secrets, some thoughts.

I hope you’ll like it, and I am open to suggestions.

If it’s a conversation, you need to be a part of it!

A MOMENT FOR REAL BEAUTY

I knew it, but it’s really true that French women wear little to no make-up and that they let their hair do its thing—look at my friend Yaël in the photo!

It also looks like they’re okay with aging. Recently, I saw a friend I hadn’t seen for ten years. I told her “Wow! You haven’t changed!” She responded, “Yes I have, and that’s okay!”

I loved how peaceful it made her presence feel. And I rethought about the meaning of this expression. I think I won’t use it anymore. I’ll just say “You look great!”

A FEELING

New era. Empty space. No coffee table, nothing extra. We don’t even have chairs. And sometimes I wish it would just stay that way.
