I’ve been spending waaaaaaaaaaayyyyy too much time on social media.

I’ve been spending way too much time on my newsfeed, that’s catered only to me, and that knows very well that if you throw in a “unretouched Kardashian” in the midst of a long form New Yorker piece about the American Constitution, it will be very hard for me to not click.

I’ve been spending way, way, way too much time on social media, trying to understand what the hell do I think about things - going from how to contribute to the Black Lives Matter movement - and not take precipitated action just to satisfy the hungry newsfeed, to wondering what should I wear this summer, if anything at all apart from my sweat pants, to how do I go about reentering a social life that’s basically a facsimile of what it used to be.

That’s the problems with feeds. We completely lose the plot.

Because meanwhile, I am trying to figure out my own life - that, probably not unlike yours, really, really needs to be considered under the new light…
