Hello from New York where nothing has changed except that a plate of pasta is now $36 dollars and, since I am up at 5am am with nothing to do and nowhere to go, I thought I could give you a little recap about my new and brilliant lifestyle choice.
I stopped smoking.
For real.
How did you not know that I was still smoking?
Errrm.
How could I put it.
Because I was hiding it from you.

1/ LET’S LIVE A LITTLE longer
Being in New York is interesting—it seems like everyone is smoking again. The smell of pot has taken over lower Manhattan and cigarettes and vapes are everywhere. It’s almost as if a wellness backlash was happening. Too much bone broth, green juices and colonics?
On one hand, I think that’s great. “Enough wellness already! Let’s live a little!”
And on the other hand I’m like, yes, sure, but also, how about let’s not die!
I stopped smoking, and I am very proud of it.
But, unfortunately, since I was hiding it, no one is applauding me.
