1/ ONE ELEGANT REACTION

“What the fuck is that?” People always ask me when I introduce them to one of my friends, S., who is 50 something. “I know, I know, you’ve got to get past that…”, I say.

What are they reacting to? 
Simple - S has jet black hair. Very obviously colored. Who cares, right?
Except, S. is a man.

2/ ONE INJUSTICE

We often hear about how easy it is for men to get older. As they age, they often look better, we say. Look at Brad Pitt!!! HE IS 56!!! Oh, but this is unfair ! Ugh. Aging, it’s harder on women. Society doesn’t forgive women for aging. By 45, men’s careers are only starting, they’re hotter than ever. Women? 45? Done! We hear.

Sorry, but that is counting without the injustice that is men’s hair. Men’s hair! Not only do they have absolutely no idea about which way the genetic pool is going to blow on their head, but they have close to zero ways to control the damage. We all know. Unless they’re really lucky, it won’t be the same up there at 40 as it is at 20.
