My dear readers,

We are an incredibly international community here. Hello to everywhere in the world. From New Zealand to France to Mexico to Peru to Greece to China to Morocco to Mauritania to Germany to Israel, to Bahrain to Russia to Brazil to India to the Philippines to Senegal… To America.

The world is deeply hurting right now and I think it’s important to talk about it.

I feel, like you, the impossibility to find voices that cut through the deafening noise that the news cycle and social media are spewing at us day and night.

This is not a letter of shame about my privilege.

Because I do not think it’s a place to start, or to end any constructive conversation. 

Constructive conversations are the ones that are able to rise above raw emotions. Anger can only be a lever if it is tending towards peace and reconciliation.

Right now, the country where I live is raw. After ten years living in the United States, I know that the situation is very hard to understand if you don’t live here.
