The Melt
And Not The Right One
I’ve been ignoring my body for a while now.
I don’t do anything I’m told to do.
I don’t lift weights or eat protein. I don’t sleep well. I worry. I know it’s not good. I can’t remember which part is supposed to collapse first, but apparently something very important is disintegrating as I’m writing.
The thing is, these past few months haven’t exactly been ideal conditions for not aging. As some of you know, I was too busy getting through… Life things.

Exercise became optional.
A cocktail, less so. Occasionally, a cigarette would land between my fingers (but how?) and I would let it, shooing guilt away. I scrolled to get my mind off things, which probably melted my brain away. On top of that, I haven’t done any beauty treatments for ages.
And for the first time I can tell you—it shows.
My thighs are soft, my back feels blurry, my boobs seem to GROW (I think it’s hormonal, it’s freaking me out, HELP!) my skin is just a mess. I can’t even find an original name for my cat who I’ve called Minouche in despair. Thank God I’m happy about my hair.
But here is what I think. Sometimes life isn’t about becoming a better version of yourself, or even about maintaining. Sometimes it’s just about getting through. Don’t you think?
How do you get through when things get tough? Tell me the truth ;)
PS. Boring Is The New Exciting.
Now that I feel a bit better, I’m incredibly excited to go back to being healthier. I’ve changed a lot in my life in the past few months—one of my goals is to travel much less, in order to start a real health, work, life routine. It sounds boring, but I’m soooo excited about it.
PPS. Thanks, yoga pants!
Funny enough, when life was tough, nothing made me feel better than the margarita at +61 putting on yoga pants and a bouncy pairs of sneakers. Having a juice. Pretending I was healthy. A bit pathetic, but exercise clothes have this way of working their magic on me. I liked it so much, I’ve decided I’m going to wear workout clothes more often. I’m not even kidding!
Big kiss my loves!

Below, a little selection of my favorite things right now. You can find the entire closet here.

In my last Letter I share the story of what happened when I decided to put myself first, and how hard (and necessary) it’s been. It’s called The Life List and you can read it here.
In my last Note, I talk about what one does when there is not much fashion around…
You can watch our last live here. Our next live is next week 8th july !
Big kisses!

I find it deeply refreshing to read. Everyone is so optimized these days. Not being so is so punk rock to me. Especially if lack of optimization is due to living and enjoying life.
Yes! Remembering that life, like nature, has seasons. We need to lie fallow, let things breathe and rest and germinate. Lots happening in our mind and soul in these moments, even if it’s not visible! 🌱
