Don’t use the bergamot one. The eucalyptus one by M+G is much better and the one I use. I tried the bergamot for a change and it is nowhere near as good.
I am totally an antiperspirant woman. I like an unscented deodorant and all the clean ones interfere with my cologne. Then I discovered Wild. It is a British brand. I don’t sweat and I don’t smell like some lavender coconut. They are scented but it is so mild that you really can’t smell it. Try it!
I'm a fan of crystal deodorant which is really just a huge chunk of salt that prevents bacteria from growing in the first place. It's the only deodorant I've ever used that won't leave yellow stains on my clothes
I like Crystal as well, and been using it for years. It also lasts for years (normally, when not smashed onto the floor). No smell, either from the stick or from me. Unbearable for me
Oh, thank you for pointing it out. I was under the impression that potassium alum is safe to use (unlike aluminium chlorohydrate and others), and it doesn’t absorb into the skin. But I read about it some more just now, and it looks like some people are still questioning this. As in, yes, by themselves the molecules are big and don’t absorb, but upon contact with water, they actually are small and can absorb into the skin, etc etc.
Well the truth is, the molecule aluminum is always aluminum. It doesn’t change size. What changes is the molecule or compound that attaches to aluminum and forms the salt. (Which makes it solid and dry).
So yes, once it encounters water the salt dissolves. Potassium is also easily absorbed - it’s one of the main electrolytes in our bodies. The other molecule sulfate, also dissolves easily in water.
The natural ones don’t work well. Or have other chemicals.
The thing that has worked well for me is a very light blush brush of baking soda.
It’s just sodium carbonate. Another salt. But it’s just Carbon, Oxygen, Hydrogen and Sodium. These all are natural elements in our bodies, and slightly alkaline too, which doesn’t hurt ;)
Too much will burn or itch slightly. But not a big deal. Just use less.
In heavier applications it can also lighten dark colors in cotton.
I haven’t found that to be the case for wool and tencel/rayon/bamboo though.
like the one you described I ALSO miss the chemical deos THAT WORK!!
being 77 I not only remember those, but also the days of my youth where we did not have deodorants AT ALL... also we didn’t change our clothes as often 😫😂
I love the Mario Badescu aluminum free deo: https://www.mariobadescu.com/products/deodorant
I've had good success with https://byhumankind.com/
My all time favourite is Corpus in California flavour and love the packaging too.
Yesss! I agree so much! Love that you call it the flavor lol
Try AKT !
They are great but I hate the toothpaste/tube/cream format personally
Good note! You made me smile. I have been using forever the one from Vichy.

My favourite is Salt & Stone especialy santal and vetiver scent and love the packaging too.
I'm a huge huge fan of Megababe's Rosy Pits. I'm not normally a rose-scent person, but this just smells clean and a little soapy. https://megababebeauty.com/collections/pits/products/rosy-pits
I just switched to Megababe's Rosy Pits this year and I love it.
Megababe is really phenomenal!
Thanks for the rec. Just ordered it:)

Yes! I love this one too. My sister recommended it years ago. I tried using other ones, but I always end up coming back to this one.

Be careful, because the ingredients for that crystal are Potassium Alum.
The “Alum” is aluminum in salt form. It absorbs just like the other aluminum salts in commercial deodorants.
Heavy metals are difficult to remove from our livers and nervous system :(

On my way to research deodorants and to get a new one! Thanks!
I’ve given up :(

Yes! And it is so affordable and available at most drug stores.
I used this one for years! Thank you for reminding me of it, I'd forgotten about it. Will need to order it again.
I like and use Dove 0% aluminium... on days

I'm hooked on Tom's of Maine unscented deo, not pretty, but effective. I still sweat, but I don't smell :)
