Vanity Overkill

You already know, for I’ve told you 300 times, that I am very lost style-wise, hair-wise, and, I mean let’s throw it in, career-wise as well*.

Well, it turns out I was also lost in my own house.

I moved in in September last year and spent a long time looking for a place to indulge in my favourite sin in the world, vanity. I didn’t know where to take my outfit selfies and was getting irritated about it.

2024 brought me inspiration, and I am introducing you to my new selfie spot:

Gosh, do I adore this jacket. It’s from H&M and the quality is AWFUL, but it’s so soft and warm and the cut is amazing (it’s sold out). My pants—love them!—are from American Vintage, one fabulous brand of soft clothes.

This below is the same spot, but with a mirror. What do you think?

Don’t reproduce this outfit, it’s bleh. The top and the pants are nice but the shoes—as much as I love them—destroy it. I’ll come back with a proper idea, now that I have found my spot.

All that to say, some things just take time. So, I found my spot, and I also just decided to leave my hair alone, instead of doing what I always do: get impatient, cut it and then cry for two years.

Some things take time, and if we go at them slowly, enjoying the process without worrying about the result, and then one day here they are, when we expected them the least. Like my spot. Love. My hair in 2026. My career. Style.

The last Letter was a story of how I almost fainted in sauna the other day because of my following of ALL wellness trends out there, and what I came to learn from it.

I’ve just changed the design (as much as one can change the design of Substack), it’s a thing I do sometimes, I would have loved to be a graphic designer!!!

The last Note was about a very important subject: socks!
