I am not sure how much our glory as 50s women will last, with all these political changes...

Here is the thing. I feel like you can be appreciated as a "woman of a certain age" in Europe, certainly in France (where I live, just as long as... you're thin. That doesn't make me happy to write but it's still what I see and have experienced.

The 50s are wild. The sandwich generation is real! Suddenly you, or half the people you know, are dealing with huge issues. Me? A scary cancer and aging parents and teenage daughters! On the other hand you care less about stupid things and yes, we can still be seen as desirable in all senses. I hear women in their 60s are the happiest generation. I hope that's right?! But yes Garance, your authenticity and intelligence shine! Not to mention that exquisite beauty x

All my friends (the girls) went through our 40th super dramatic, something like crisis. I didn’t have time for that because i was too busy with IVF procedures… But now just a couple of months before my 50th birthday I’m absolutely terrified 🫣

I’m grateful that I and my loved ones are healthy 🙏 but I’m really terrified from the figure 5 in my age 🥴

I really enjoy reading you but I just assure you

there is no age anymore

More old I become and more I feel younger

It’s a question of attitude

Keep well dearest Garance

You are more beautiful than you have never been

The aging is ok, the wrinkles are ok, even the extra giggle is ok (haha!)…what is hard for me to process is that I have lived already half of my life. That is a heavy one for me! Sending love ❤️

I’ve told you in the past again at one of your lives and I’ll tell you again; you’re the woman who makes me look forward to getting older. You really are very inspiring. (And for bras check Ophelia Lingerie from Antwerp)

This is so true - glad you're getting the benefits! BTW: I've been reading you since I was around 37 (you had that interpreter at the time!) and now I'm 53. I must say the 50's have been actually pretty good so far. Enjoy!

I hated turning 40. It felt so overwhelming and disappointing and that life wasn’t what I’d expected (despite having a pretty good life). Turning 50 last year completely different — it feels incredibly liberating!

Ah ! THE bra issue! At almost 66 years old my breast are at 95 DD ! I was 85 b. What kind of bra ? every morning seeing me on the mirror I’m asking myself if I should go on surgery to minimize them or remove them all. Otherwise what kind of clothes should I wear.

Regarding bra's i just bought my second Eres bra. They are rather pricey but they fit SO incredibly well. I am 64 and the universe blessed me with many curves and I was tired of buying bras that are not comfortable. I would opt for La Perla as well and finally on the more efficient side is CUUP. Happy hunting!!!!

I am also in my 60's. Being your authentic self is what is most important. Lovin life and yourself is the best way to enjoy your life to the full. I have embraced my body and life with all the imperfections because I am uniquely made. It is very freeing to do so. Bras are overrated. But for comfort and special occasions...I like one from Harper Wilde.

I’ve found my 60’s to be the most personally powerful time of my life. At 67 life is juicy , time is luxury.
