The Note / Ten New Things
10 New Things
1/ New haircut
I’ll do a Note about it next week because my hair is a metaphor of my life journey but in the meantime, let’s just say this. There isn’t one hairstyle I haven’t tried, AND I’m sooooo loving this new one, even if I’m a bit shy and insecure about it. Maybe that’s a good thing? A sign I’m taking risks?

2/ Ballon pants
I really LOVE the shape of these Malène Birger pants. The kind of item I have to stop myself from wearing everyday—you know the type. I got them about two sizes larger!
3/ Last magazines
L’Étiquette. The last magazine I actually want to buy and read, unless World Of Interiors promptly course corrects and doesn’t become another AD. Oh and let’s not forget, Milk and Harpers’s Bazaar Interiors. Please tell me if I’m missing anything!!

4/ Red pants
Sézane really is stepping up their game—these red suede pants are going to be my whole life as soon as it stops raining.
5/ 15 minutes
I’m tricking myself into exercise.
I started with a 5 minute Pilates workout everyday, in my pajamas (no bra, who cares) right before my shower. So easy you can’t not do it. Last week, I moved on to 10. This week is 15 minutes a day (bra on) and I want to work towards 30 minutes everyday. I pick anything that comes on YouTube (she’s good!), but if you have a favorite simple and effective exercise app you like, please share! I’m already feeling the results.

6/ Croc bag
Croc-embossed leather is everywhere right now and I’m here for it. I LOVE this bag by Soeur. Super pretty and practical, I’m getting a ton of compliments… I leave the little logo inside as I like bags with as little hardware as possible, but a lot of friends have told me they actually like the gold logo. Tell me what you think!
7/ Skin Pep
I’m very careful with retinoids, but once in a while I’ll do a three month round with a retinol alternative like this great one from Aime. And I always combine with La Crème!

8/ Driver mocs
OMG I love these, not only because they’re SO Italian old lady chic (Old Italian women are a GREAT style reference, with their heavy jewelry and confident blowdries) but because the comfort of the picots (the textured pebbled nubs sole) is so insane you never want to take them off.
9/ Mom Tie
My mom is a genius, and she popped in my room in Corsica the other day wearing this very cool tie she had thrifted—a Christian Dior, s’il vous plaît—I asked if she’d seen the Celine show and knew I was about to get this beauty? She didn’t. My mom just knows. Anyway, I stole the tie.
10/ Newness
To push forward joy and the spirit of newness, I decided to do one thing differently every day. Ok, three times a week.
Anything from swapping coffee for tea (just for a day!), working from a new café, calling a friend I haven’t called for forever, wearing a weird item that usually stays at the back of my wardrobe. More challenging—and more inspiring!—than I thought. Very, very lovely.
Have the best day!

In my last Letter, I question myself about my feelings of overwhelm and realize I’ve fallen into a trap.
In my last Note, I shared the advice I gave during Substack’s Future of Storytelling at Copenhagen Fashion Week.
In our last Live (free to watch for everyone), I talked more about not having children, a way for me to wrap my episodes on Instagram - but I’m always here if you have questions <3
Let’s meet again on Wednesday, February 25th, at 6pm Paris time. Let me know if you need help tuning in.
At Doré, we launched two new incredible serums!!! They are formulated with a proprietary blend of silk peptides and natural ingredients that deliver visible transformation but do not irritate or sensitize your skin. Both are exclusive to Ulta Beauty and you can learn more about them here: Peptides Extreme Fermeté and Peptides Bouclier Intégral. I love them!

One new thing 3x/ week is best advice ever. Merci!
