Not couture, but I adore my small wallets from Portland Leather. They’re small and inconspicuous, hold and organize everything. They do have zippers, though.
The green Prada is lovely and would last but the Celine is more discreet and practical. Larger wallets become too heavy and you don’t want to carry them. I also don’t think you should carry everything at once. What of something were to happen ...
Try Secrid! https://secrid.com/en-us/wallets/all/There is a small lever that lets your credit cards out like a fan and a place to keep cash as well. It is the most functional wallet I’ve ever had and I’ve journeyed through all your options as well ... Valextra makes a nice smaller one but I think at this point I’m secrid for life!
In looking at your short list, def the Celine or Hermes. No zips! On a side note, agree about the little ones, my tiny one flew right out of my pocket and is now lost deep in the woods of KY....
I hate wallets as well, but I love cardholders. Specifically Ted Baker cardholders. I've tried cardholders by countless brands, fancy ones included. No Coach, Gucci, LV cardholder comes close to the ones by Ted Baker. The quality of the leather, the attention to detail such as the seams, the different compartments, is top-notch. They are just the perfect combo of quality, beauty and practicality. Plus, no crazy monogram logo.
I hate change and stick to one thing for life when it's really good. I'm about to get my third small, bi-fold & zippered Bottega wallet, it's that good. Both compact and practical. Wouldn't recommend anything else
Team Emily 🙋🏼♀️ I like hers the most ❤️
Finding a wallet where you can put your gigantic French ID card 😑 Took me 8 years to find one that wasn't too big but big enough for it...

i love IL Bisonte!
M0851, a Canadian/Montreal brand has beautiful, well-made wallets. Here’s my fave right now https://www.m0851.com/m0_cad_en/wa90-aniline-brown

I recomend to take a look at Harber London wallets. They're small, simple, slim, soft, well made. I'm happy with mine.
Je recommanderais aussi de regarder Rains et Lemur design. Petit format mais pratique
I love Laperruque - it’s made in Paris and they use the most beautiful leather
