Fashion For Overthinkers

FFIA : Fake Fashion Influencer Anonymous.

I’m a bit of a fake fashion influencer. I wear the same things over and over again and I’ve owned some of my clothes since for ever. I dress a bit boring, I repeat outfits to death and I hate owning too many clothes—I just like less stuff. Also, I believe in allure over anything else—but we can talk about that in another Note.

Each season, I usually find a formula, and I stick to it.

It’s like with beauty—I hate overthinking it.

Probably because I overthink everything else to death.

Smiling, but overthinking ;) My new absolute favorite earrings. I found them at H&M and it seems like they’re sold out but I’ve found a lot of cool similar ones for you. Plus my Garrett Leight glasses which you know because I’ve been wearing them for ten years. They’re just amazing, light, cool, awesome.

Here are the things I am loving to wear right now. This year the formula is to have a few great black pants on rotation, some light but warm sweaters, and then accessorize depending on the temperature with scarves, socks, hats, gloves and even thermal tops—Uniqlo makes great ones. Add a big pair of earrings or a red lipstick to add a little bit of fun, and I’m off.

Your favourite FFI cropped her photo wrong. Coat, Acne Studios. Tank top, American Apparel Bag, Cuyana (it’s so beautiful, I’ve had it for YEARS and it’s one of the items I’ve never been able to sell or give away because the quality is just so fab) Pants, Stefano Pilati x Zara—I love them so much I just bought a second pair, just in case I destroy these.

This also means that sometimes I am a few years behind on trends. (I told you! super FFI!) These Alaïa flats have been a must for forever on the IG fashion trail but I never really felt the urge to buy them (the IG fashion trail tends to throw me off of things)(I also tend to overthink buying expensive things, #FFI)—until I saw them on my sister.

I was like shit, this looks great. Which is alright, because my sister and I don’t mind having the same things.

It’s also why very often we meet and find out we are dressed exactly the same. But because we’re total #FFI frauds, I guess we don’t give a damn ;)

I’ve made a little closet here with some of my favourite things right now, all approved to be super easy to wear, and to last you forever!!!
