Getting married two years ago was a perfect excuse for me to indulge in one of my passions, dressing entirely in cream colors. I don’t like strict rules so I couldn’t go full monochrome, but it might just happen naturally and gradually that, one day, I’ll look at my wardrobe and everything is light, neutral colors.
The wedding was in winter—Oh! The wonderful shopping opportunities—and I decided that I would spend the three days entirely in cream—Oh! The self-involvement of brides—I bought all creams and whites, long wool skirts, boots, sweaters, flats and heels and you should have seen how delighted I was when I opened my suitcase at our castle in Scotland*—all bright!!!
Absolute scores where The Row boots in cream color which I would probably have never gotten had I been my usual reasonable self** and my little cream Chanel 2.55 bag which is so lovely and practical I wear it everyday.
I also bought this gigantic faux fur coat. I would never have bought this on a regular day. I would have put it in my cart and leave it there forever.
I wore it around the castle and got a ton of compliments (I mean granted I was the bride, so people HAD to say “Wow!” whatever I wore) and when we came back from the wedding, I put it in a closet with my dresses and my shoes, and forgot about it.
Then last week, it got really cold, and I thought about my giant coat. And, Oh! The lightness***, the warmth! The fun! The memories! It looks wonderful with everything and definitely makes heads turn.
All this to say—I totally recommend getting one of these and spending the winter in it.
This one is not on the market anymore, but there are even better ones out there. And so many sales! I made a little selection for you below :)
*Joke. We don’t own a castle, which is very disappointing because in most Scottish fairytales, the guy comes with a castle. Remboursez!!!
** I even thought of wearing them to go down the aisle, but when I tried it on, it was absolutely horrendous.
*** I absolutely hate heavy coats, bags and shoes. If I buy online, I email shops to ask them how much they weigh. Needless to say, they never ever answer or they get very impatient with me.

Please tell us more about this cream-colored 2.55 bag!
You are a fashion icon. I've ordered a similar coat for myself out of all this, as I already have the shoes! That's called an influence! Greetings from Poland.
